Betty Gale York, age 82 of the Ditney Trail Community and formerly of West Robbins, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Huntsville Manor.

Born in West Frankfort, IL on October 30, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Elsie (Aldridge) Snethen.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William Clyde Hedrick and J.C. York; son, Douglas York; granddaughter, Amanda Roberts; great-granddaughter, Keri Smithers; brothers, Russell Eugene Snethen, Leroy Edward Snethen, Charles Elliott Snethen; son-in-law Warren Eddie Lewallen.

Betty is survived by her children, Sue Keene and husband Joey, Kenneth Hedrick and wife Brenda, Debra J. Hedrick Lewallen, and J.C. York, Jr.; sister, Mary Williams of Portland, Oregon; seven grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren. She also leaves a host of relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 6 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Kimbrell officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery.
