Daniel Vern Byrge, Sr, age 71 of Robbins, Tennessee, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on May 5, 2017. He was the son of the late Celia Foster and Howard Dan Byrge. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member and Deacon of West Robbins Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father in law, Albert and Tiss Myers; brothers Charles Foster and Howard D. (Buddy) Byrge and grandson Aaron Lawson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carolyn Ann (Myers) Byrge; son Daniel Vern Byrge, Jr and Barbara of Jamestown; daughters: Anita Denise Tompkins and husband Jerry, Mary Lyn Carson and husband Curtis, Chrissy Ann Bertram and husband Jerry, and Martha Celeste Wright and husband Kirby, all of Robbins, Tennessee; Grandchildren: Justin, Dustin, Blake (Brittany) and Aaron Byrge, Brandon Phillips and Jonathan (Felicia) Lawson, Amanda (Dustin) Phillips, Tracie (Chas) Sexton, Kelsie (Bryan) Golden, Jerrica Bertram, Emily Byrge, Rebecca Day, Christian and Madison Wright; great-grandchildren: Bailey, Jaxon, Cheserae, Karlee, Jacelynn, Kasen, Beau, Bentley, Syler, Brynleigh and Brady; brothers: James Walter Byrge and wife, Mitzi of Huntsville, Dennis Lee Byrge and wife Karen, of Helenwood, Harold Wayne Byrge and wife Brenda and Bobby Darrell Byrge of Robbins; sisters: Linda Sue Walker of Huntsville, Sharon Kaye Lowe and husband Freddy of Helenwood, Tammie Jo Ellis and husband Keiff, of Chatsworth, Ga., Karen Lynn Terry and husband Randall of Oneida, and Jessica Dawn Byrge of Oneida; Sisters in law Marilyn Sue Byrge of Huntsville, Deanna Foster of Wartburg; Brothers in law Wayne Myers and wife Linda of Oklahoma, Jeff Myers and wife Karen of Robbins, Dennis Myers and wife Suzanne of Deer Lodge. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

Friends may visit with the Byrge family on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Stephens officiating.  Music will be provided by his daughters.

Graveside service will be on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery in Robbins. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons: Brandon Phillips, Justin Byrge, Dustin Byrge, Jonathan Lawson, Blake Byrge, Aaron Byrge, and Christian Wright.
