Mrs. Kelly M. Milton Mattie, age 78 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at the Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center.  Born June 14, 1939 in Eccles, WV, she was the daughter of the late Andy Joe and Ethel Bullock Milton. 

Mrs. Mattie was retired and had worked as a teacher assistant in the Special Education Department of the Oneida School System.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oneida for over 40 years, and was a member of the Women’s Mission Union where she used her artistic talents in the nursery, bulletin boards and mission projects.  She was also a member of the Oneida Lions Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister:  Nola DeForest.

Mrs. Mattie is survived by her husband:   Hillard Mattie; daughters:  Kim Burress and husband Robby, Kristy Mattie, all of Oneida, and Tammy Martin and husband Dale of Kingsport, TN; 4 grandchildren:  Andrew Martin, Rebecca Martin, Rachel Martin and Ruthie Burress; brother:  Melvin Milton and wife Margaret of Jamestown, TN; as well as many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of friends.

Friends may visit with the Mattie family on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 4 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Oneida, TN with Dr. Randy Pressnell officiating.  Music will be provided by the First Baptist Church Choir.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Scott Memorial Gardens.
