Marine D. Hall, age 94 of the Paint Rock Community passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.  Born in Oneida, TN on March 11, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Liza Yancey Duncan.

She was a life-time member, as well as the eldest member, of the Paint Rock Baptist Church. Marine was a member of the Paint Rock Community Club; and was very instrumental in the development of the Paint Rock Fire Department by selling her quilts to raise money.  She was also inducted into the Boys and Girls Club Hall of Fame as Senior Citizen of the Year.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Sam Hall; two sons:  Thomas Lee and Hubert Benny Hall; one daughter:  Jan Burress; two grandsons:  Derek and Troy Thomas Buttram; one great-granddaughter:  Jacie Burress; and son-in-law:  Denzil Buttram.

She is survived by two sons:  Bill Hall and wife Sue of Oneida, and Rick Hall and wife Denita of Johnson City, TN; three daughters:  Sheila Buttram of the Paint Rock Community, Sharon Marcum and husband James of the Pine Creek Community, and Teresa Sexton and husband Tony of the Paint Rock Community; 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren; two brothers:  Hubert Duncan and wife Phyllis, and Ned Duncan and wife Wilma; and three sisters:  Delone Keeton, Raylene Terry and Geneeda Sexton.  She also leaves her special quilting friends at the Paint Rock Community Club; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Hall will lie in state at the Paint Rock Baptist Church beginning on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 with Bro. Dean Barnes and Bro. Jason Burress officiating.  Music will be provided by the Roberts Family.

Burial will follow in the Sexton Memorial Cemetery in the Paint Rock Community.  Pallbearers will be:  Dane Buttram, Kirk Buttram, David Buttram, Randy Bates, Jason Burress, Chad Marcum, Billy Mark Hall, Chance Hall, Rayse Cash, Scott Rector, Michael Martin, Paul Bogart, Tony Phillips and Ken Smith.
