Morgan Reece King

Morgan Reece King, age 59 of Helenwood, TN, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida.  Born in Oneida, TN on April 12, 1958, he was the son of Estol Lee King and Imogene King Laxton; and the husband of Connie Roark King.  Reece was a 1976 graduate of Oneida High School, and a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.  He worked for many years at the Oneida School System as a Special Education Aide, and was an avid turkey hunter, as well as a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation.

He was preceded in death by his father:  Estol Lee King; son:  Seth King; grandparents:  Emby and Beatrice King, and Frank and Fuchsia Chambers; and father and mother-in-law:  Bob and Anne Roark Chambers.

Reece is survived by his wife of 33 years:  Connie King; son:  Tyler King and Elizabeth Martin and granddaughter:  Velouria King of Knoxville; mother:  Imogene King Laxton and husband James of Oneida; sister:  Gina Phillips and husband Steve of Oneida; sisters-in-law:  Teresa Roark Jones and husband Joel of Knoxville; Cindy Roark Daniel of Oneida; brother-in-law:  Jeff Roark; and nieces and nephews:  Stephen and Jonathan Phillips, and Jordan, Bailey and Ben Roark; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the King family on Monday, January 1, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Kazee officiating.  Music will be provided by:  Tyler King, Jonathan and Stephen Phillips, Cody Stephens, and Irene and Thea Chitwood.

Burial will follow in the Kingtown Cemetery in Strunk, KY.  Pallbearers will be:  Stephen Phillips, Jonathan Phillips, Joel Jones, Tyler King, Cody Stephens, Corey Reynolds, Landon Daugherty and Patrick Spradlin.
