Muril Smith, of the Station Camp Community, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at his home. He was born in Oneida, Tennessee on July 9, 1940 to the late Arthur and Ethel Hammock Smith.
Muril was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oneida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Myrtle and Greenburry Hammock.
Survived by his wife of 52 years Ella Sue Smith; children: Regina Leeds and husband Steve, Pam May and husband Jimmy; sisters: Shirley West and husband W.O. West Jr., Rochelle King and husband David; brother Robert Smith and wife Claudette; brother-in-law Hurstle Jeffers and wife Treva; grandchildren: Hannah and Jordan Leeds, and Amanda and Brittany May; the Median Adult Men Sunday School Class; the Postal Workers; many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Smith family on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 6 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Oneida with Bro. David King and Dr. Randy Presnell officiating. Music will be provided by the First Baptist Church Choir.
Graveside service will be on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dr. Tim Smith, Aaron Smith, Daniel Smith, Michael West, Howard Marlow, Jim Terry, Kirk Buttram and James Botts.
