Odell Harness, age 66, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA.

Born in Scott County, Tennessee on March 26, 1951, he was the son of the late Leroy and Emma Day Harness.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dana and Billy Gene Harness; one sister, Ardillia Posey; grandparents, Cade and Lula Day, John Riley and Martha Harness; three nephews, Matthew Harness, Stacy Harness and Dale Posey; one niece, Karen Posey.

Odell is survived by his sons, Christopher Harness and Daniel and wife Pamela Harness; granddaughters, Jamie Harness and Jen Pacheco; one great-grandson, Max Pacheco all of Chatsworth, GA; brothers, Luther Harness and wife Margarett of Dalton, GA, Thurmon Harness and wife Loretta of Huntsville and Marion Harness of the Ditney Trail Community; one sister, Rosie Massey of Massey Lane Community. He also leaves a whole host of nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Harness family on Saturday, December16, 2017 from 12 noon until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Duncan and Bro. Pete Norman officiating.  Music will be provided by Sis. Tammy Hutson.

Cremation will take place following the funeral service.
