Roger 'Wayne' Daugherty

Roger ‘Wayne’ Daugherty, age 70 of Winfield, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.  Born May 20, 1947 in Oneida, he was the son of the late Joel and Joyce Terry Daugherty.  From 1967-1968 Wayne was proud to have served his country that he loved as a member of the United States Army in Vietnam. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son and best friend:  Larry Fox; baby sister who was born sleeping:  Debbie Daugherty; brothers:  Melvin, Ralph, Ervin and Terry Daugherty.

He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years:  Donna Daugherty; brothers:  Eugene Daugherty and wife Becky, Denny Daugherty and wife, Kathy, Wendell Daugherty and wife Lisa; sisters:  Lena Mae Cross, Pam Davis and husband Rodney; daughter-in-law:  Mickie Fox Acres and husband Jarred; grandchildren:  Hannah King and husband Jacob, Colby Fox and wife Micah; great grandchildren:  Tucker and Colton King and Halle King (who is just a button), and Lynnie and Keeton Fox; several special nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Daugherty family on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Stanley and Bro. Robert Blankenship officiating.  Music will be provided by Clint Keeton.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in the Daugherty Family Cemetery in Winfield, TN with full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida.  Pallbearers will be:  family and friends.
