Steven W. Lawson, age 61 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Big South Fork Medical Center following a lengthy illness.  He was born on July 25, 1956 to the late Archie and Helen Marion Alderson Lawson.

Steve worked at Citizens Gas for 22 years. The employees there were his extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Michael David Lawson; niece Amanda Helen Lawson.

Survived by his sons: Archie Wayne Lawson and wife Jaimie, Allen Lawson and wife Maddy all of Oneida; brother: Timothy Allen Lawson and wife Frances of Oneida; grandchildren: Savannah, Trevor, Steven, Sabrina, Brynden, and Jaelynn Grace (due in October); special friend Greg Bell; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Lawson family on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 6 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Jody Harness and Bro. Jim Butler, Jr. officiating.  Music will be provided by Nikki and Vicky Sexton.

Following the service, Steven’s wish was cremation.
