Betty Morgan Obituary

Betty Lou Millsap Cross Morgan, age 85 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at her home.

Born on March 9, 1933 in Oneida, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Gracie Fox Millsap. Betty was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served as the church secretary for 25 years. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend. She was well known for her coconut pies. With love, she made them for friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Gracie Fox Millsap; family, Ira Mae Booher and husband N.D., Christine Pryer and husband Bill, John Millsap, Reba Loftus and husband Bob, Charles Millsap, Ruth Blakeley and husband Clendon, Charles Millsap and husband Bailey B. Cross.

She is survived by her husband, Chester Morgan; sister, Barbara Danner and husband “Bud;” sister-in-law, Jimmie Millsap; sons, Brian Cross and wife Elaine, Greg Cross and wife Jan; grandchildren, Gracie Cross and Grant Cross; stepchildren, Ted Morgan and wife Pati Ann, Jim Morgan and wife Sheila, Sue Davidson and husband Earl, Brenda Reynolds and husband David, and Fran Morgan. Betty loved all of her many nieces and nephews. She loved her neighbors and special neighbor Eula Duncan.

Friends may visit with the Morgan family on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Hodges officiating. Music will be provided by Dallas West.

Interment will follow in the Cooper Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
