Dee Gilbert

Dee Gilbert, age 79 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Huntsville Manor Nursing Home.  He was born in Scott County, Tennessee on November 26, 1938 to the late Melvin and Flara Owens Gilbert.

He was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt Cora Jones.

Survived by his wife Brenda Gilbert of Oneida, Tennessee; brothers: Jack Gilbert and wife Phyllis and Grover Gilbert and wife Jewell all of Oneida, Tennessee; sister Vetis Petway and husband Gene of Jasper, Georgia; sisters-in-law: Linda Neal and husband Larry of Helenwood, Tennessee and Lucille Phelps of Oneida, Tennessee; niece Amy Garrett and husband John of Oneida, Tennessee; nephews: Marcus Neal of Helenwood, Tennessee, Dale Neal and wife Sharon of Oneida, Tennessee, Jeffery Buttram, Charles Worlety, Scott Gilbert and wife Allison, Vance Gilbert and wife Lisa, Todd and wife Tammy, Benny Ellis Jr., Dallen Neal all of Oneida, Tennessee, John Frye of Wellington, Ohio, and Phil Petway of Liburn, Georgia; special friends: Duel West, Denny Posey, Tommy Lee Stanley, Steve Stanley, Ronnie Ellis, Russell Anderson, Delyn Phillips and Daniel Woods; many other relatives and friends.

Dee’s request was cremation.
