Delvene Burress Bridges

Delvene Burress Bridges, age 81 of Huntsville, Tennessee departed this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Big South Fork Medical Center. Born in Scott County, TN on May 13, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Thomas N. Burress and Dessie Jeffers Burress. She was a member of the Annadale United Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Bridges; mother and father-in-law, O.D. and Melda Bridges; brothers, John L. Newport, S.T. Burress, Theodora (Ted) Burress, Sammie Burress; one infant brother; sisters, Ester E. Jeffers, Lois Boyer, Mirriah Calhoun, Versie Cross, Minnie Cross, Fannie Jeffers, Hannah Jeffers and three infant sisters.

Delvene is survived by her children, Sheila Bridges, Deborah Phillips and husband Ronnie, Bobby Bridges and wife Priscilla; grandchildren, Wayne Bridges, Brandon Bridges, Jimmy Kertzman, Daniella Duncan and husband Brian; three step grandsons, Jason Perry, Lee Phillips and Josh Phillips; step granddaughter, Tamara Lawson and husband Justin; great grandchildren, Isaiah, Caleb and Katelyn Phillips, Tyler and Aleigh Phillips and Brellia Lawson; two brothers, Tommie Burress and Ervin and wife Evelyn Burress; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Bridges family on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Annadale United Baptist Church with Bro. Dwight Stanley and Bro. Pete Babb officiating.

Burial will follow in the Annadale Cemetery in the Annadale Community. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
