Edith Posey Pike

Edith Posey Pike, age 67 of Hall County, Georgia, and formerly of Scott County, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at her home. She was born on January 25, 1951 to the late Everett Sylvester Posey and Sylvanie Phillips Posey in Oneida, Tennessee.

She was a member of High Point Baptist Church. Her life was in Georgia but her heart was in Tennessee. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and she loved her family dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years: Willis Pike; brothers and sisters: Rubel Posey, Lawton Posey, Trudie Irene Posey, Dealis Posey, Lester Posey, Ilene Posey Phillips, Lawrence Posey, and Marvin Posey.

She is survived by her children: Sonya De Pike Cantrell and husband Thomas F. Cantrell and Tammy Lee Pike; brothers: Landis Posey and wife Dixie and Everett Posey Jr. and wife Barbara; grandchildren: William Everett Pike and Deven Pike Hooper.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 5 p.m. in the Troxell Cemetery in Oneida with Thomas F. Cantrell officiating.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
