Effie Lawrence, age 85 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at her home. She was born in Knox County, Kentucky on June 20, 1933 to the late Andrew and Millie Messer Crawford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Lawrence; three sisters: Grace Smith, Beatrice Vanover, and Rhilda Hamrick; three brothers: Gilbert, Denver, and Harold Crawford.
Survived by her three daughters: Eva and Bill Kirby of Madison, IN, Nola and James Ball of Pine Knot, KY, and Fredia and Richard Jeffers of Robbins, TN; one son Thomas and Denise Lay of Winfield, TN; she also leaves several loved step-children; ten grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; two brothers: J.W. and Cleo Crawford of Hamilton, Ohio and Cecil and Barbara Crawford of London, KY; many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Lawrence family on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 6 p.m. until time of the funeral at 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Blankenship and Bro. David Webb officiating.
Graveside service will be on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery in Robbins, TN.
