Frances Tussing, age 64 of the Pioneer Community, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at her home.
Born in Scott County, Tennessee on October 27, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Mitt Melton and Tempa Harness Day.
She was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, James Milton Day, an infant brother, and Ray Day and wife, Carol; sister, Debbie Phillips and husband, Aldon; grandson, Michael Newport.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, William Tussing; son, Archie Newport and wife Margie, Scotty Newport, Daniel Newport and wife Amanda Newport; daughter, Renee Goforth and fiancée, Brad Bertram of Robbins, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kyle Newport and Matthew Newport, Kelby Newport, Adrian Newport and Andrew Newport, and Ruger Goforth (Mamaw’s Chunky Monkey); her siblings, Jackie Day and wife, Flo of Huntsville, Tennessee, Ralph Day and wife Penny of the Capital Hill Community, and Bryn Norman and husband Pete of the Elk Valley Community. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Day Cemetery in the Annadale Community with Bro. Pete Norman and Bro. Danny Norman officiating.
