Josh Phillips Obituary

 

Joshua Clay Phillips, age 33 of Oneida, TN, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN.  Born February 4, 1985 in Oak Ridge, TN, he was the son of Glenda Jo Thompson Phillips and the late Alane Phillips.

In addition to his father, Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents:  Laughton Phillips, and Henry Clay Thompson and Elsie Shannon Thompson; aunt:  Wanda Phillips and husband Dewayne; uncle W. C. Thompson; and niece:  Caroline Jade Phillips.

Josh is survived by two sons:  Jasper Clay and Jace Cole Phillips and their mother,  Amanda;  his companion Lynda Monroe his mother:  Glenda Jo Phillips, Ge-Fala Ruth Phillips; two sisters:  Malana and Scott Smith, Carrie and Jason Rogers; nephews:  Jacob Phillips, Jordan Burke, Wayne Reagan, Joey Phillips, Josh Phillips, Samuel Letner, Johnathon Letner; Nieces:  Rayona Day, Katie Phillips; mother-in-law:  Margie Simpson; sisters-in-law:  Becky Phillips and husband Dale, Keisha Letner and Angie Simpson; aunts:  Gearl Faye Caruthers and husband Dave, Lavada Wheeler and husband Tom, Sharlyn Young, Steve Thompson and wife Debbie Thompson; two life-long friends:  Johnny Harness and Joe Letner; as well as other family  members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Phillips family on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church with Bro. Carley Duncan and Bro. Dudley Harness officiating.  Music will be provided by the Mason Family.

Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  Jacob Phillips, Wayne Reagan, Jordan Burke, Joe Letner, Joey Phillips and Johnny Harness.
