Mae Harness

Mae Harness, age 98 of Helenwood, TN passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, TN. Born in Scott County, TN on May 27, 1921, she was the daughter of the late James and Rosetta Underwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a special aunt, Arlene Sexton; special uncles, Clifford Griffith and Bart Sexton; daughter-in-law, Polly Underwood; grandsons, Anthony Webb, Keith Webb and Billy Joe Webb; and cousins, Lorene Babcock Sims, Starlin Sexton and Charlie Sexton.

Mae is survived by her son, Vernon Underwood and wife Donna of Helenwood, TN; grandkids, Veronica Mosier and husband Jimmy of Jacksonville, FL, Dewayne Underwood and friend Shirley of Oneida, TN, Connie Duncan and husband Oscar of Robbins, TN, Rachel Wilmont and Hilary West; grandson, Glendell Gibson; great grandchildren, Eric Webb, Brian Webb, Keisha Webb, Byron and Bryce Duncan, Joina Webb, Brett Gazay and Braden Brawner; special cousins, Josephine Stanfield, Jack Sexton, Paul Sexton, Katherine Bowling, Floyd and Eunifaye Brummett; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Harness family on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Smithers officiating. Music will be provided by Jimmy and Sarah Byrd.

Burial will follow in the Lone Mountain Cemetery in the Brimstone Community.
