Mildred Louise (Strunk) Anderson

Mildred Louise Strunk Anderson succumbed to chronic illness on January 12, 2019 at the age of 86.  She was the daughter of former Oneida Mayor C. L. Strunk and the wife of noted musician W. O. Anderson.  She spent the majority of her adult life in Muncie, IN, but frequently returned to the mountains of her youth due to her love of the regions, music and culture.  She will be remembered by those who knew her best as a patron of the arts; an avid collector of antiquities, and a shrewd business woman.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband:  W. O. Anderson, as well as her parents:  C. L. and Marie Strunk.  

She is survived by her son:  John Randall Anderson; brother:  John L. Strunk (Barbara); her nephews:  John Chris Strunk and David Kenton Strunk (Dani); great-nieces:  Gracie Marie Strunk and KeeLee D’Lynn Strunk; and great-nephew:  Kennon John Strunk.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Keith Marcum officiating.
