Nesba Ree Duncan

Mrs. Nesba Ree Sexton Yancey Duncan, age 91 of the Cherry Fork Community in Helenwood, TN, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at her home.  Born in Scott County, TN on February 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Arlin and Vela Elizabeth Wilkerson Sexton.  She was a member of the Faith of God Non-Denominational Church in Helenwood, TN.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband:  Willard Yancey; daughter:  Wanda Fetterman and husband Sherman, sisters:  Winnie West and husband Paul, Clara Anderson and husband Roscoe, and Carrie Sexton and husband Lee; brother-in-law:  Kenneth Young; mothers and fathers-in-law:  Ethel and Lemuel Yancey, and Bill and Lige Duncan.

Nesba is survived by her husband:  Ronnie Duncan of Helenwood, TN; children:  Betty McCleery and husband Chuck of Greenfield, IN, Linda Goad and husband Allen of Helenwood, Violet Burchfield and husband Jerry of Oneida, and Steve Duncan and wife Tamara of Robbins, TN; grandchildren:  Kendra Marlow and husband Greg, Bill McCleery and wife Amy, and Ashley Griffith and husband Keith, Koty Duncan and wife Haley and Dalton Duncan and wife Lynsa; great grandchildren:  Betsy, Abby and Hannah McCleery, Sarah and Jenna Marlow, Kaycee and Kannon Griffith, Kota, Karter and Kane Duncan and Riley Burress; sister:  Charlene Young; brother:  Wilburn Sexton and wife Anna; special niece who was her caregiver and like a daughter:  Debbie West Beeler; and many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Duncan family on Saturday, October 6 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Shane Phillips officiating.  Music will be provided by Shane and Shonda Phillips, and Shirley and John Parmalee.

Burial will follow in the Sexton Memorial Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
