Ocie Violet Maxey

Ocie Violet Cross Maxey, age 96, passed to eternal life on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Heritage Springs Healthcare in Ohio.

Ocie is preceded in death by her husband Jacob Clifford Maxey; daughters: Joyce Howard Laws, Alice Strunk, Mary Clevenger, Evelyn Maxey, Patricia Webb; parents Dora and Gathie Cross; brothers: Alfred Cross and Maynard Cross; sisters: Thelma Sauls and Jenetta Duncan; step-son Bob Ross.

She is survived by and will be missed by her sons Kenneth Maxey and Dean Maxey; brother Manford Cross; sister Floralee Duncan; and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the Maxey family to celebrate Ocie's life on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Fults officiating.  Music will be provided by the Duncan Family singers.

Interment will follow in the Cross Cemetery.

In-lieu-of flowers, Ocie asked donations be sent to New Light Church where she was a member since 1946.
