Robert David Cross

Robert (Rob) David Cross, age 55 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at his home. He was born in Clinton, TN on July 26, 1964 to Melba Cross and the late Darryl Cross.

Robert was a longtime member of the local union #917.  He loved to hunt and fish and spending time with his grandson.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by son Janson Cross; grandparents Lester and Jewel Watters Boyatt and Rosier and Rosalee Cross, special Uncle Dexter West.

He is survived by his son Samuel Cross and wife Tracy of Oneida, TN; mother Melba Cross; sister Melinda Bell and husband Steve of Oneida, TN; grandchildren whom he loved dearly Remy Cross and Taylor Harvey; uncles: Brian Boyatt of Oneida, TN, Gary Boyatt and wife Leetta of Huntsville, TN and Lewis Boyatt of Dalton, GA; aunt Nelda Jones; special niece Brianna Allen and husband Trevor; nephew Logan Bell;  many special friends and many relatives.

Friends may visit with the Cross family on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 2 pm until  time of the service at 5 pm in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Boyatt and Bro. Wesley Boyatt officiating.   

Interment will follow in the John Freeman Cemetery in the Paint Rock Community.  Serving as pallbearers will be Sam Cross, Wesley Boyatt, Logan Bell, Dane Buttram, Steve Bell and Tony Younce.
