Anna Cross

Anna Lou Laxton Cross, age 88 of Oneida, TN passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at her home. Born in Hardy, KY on March 18, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Bailey and Audrey (West) Laxton. She was a member of Oneida Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Cross; sister, Irene Cross; father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Alicia Cross.

Anna is survived by her son, Steve and Carmelita Cross; daughters, Beth Donock and Jane Cross; grandchildren, Stephanie Cross Martin, Jared Cross, Noah and Jonah Donock; sister, Martha Parson; brother, Jim Laxton; father of Beth’s children, Daniel; many special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Brenda Smith and Quality Hospice.

Friends may visit with the Cross family on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Polk officiating. Music will be provided by the congregation.

Committal service will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery in Oneida. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
