Ashley Brooke Thompson

Ashley Brooke Thompson, age 45 of Helenwood, TN, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the St Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.  Born May 27, 1974 in Danville, KY, he was the son of Roger and Lucille Chambers Thompson.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oneida; and a graduate of Oneida High School Class of ’92.  Ashley loved listening to music and playing guitar, playing video games with his children, spending time with his grandkids and pestering Monica and Ashlyn (Boo).  His Sundays were often spent visiting with his parents and enjoying time with them.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents:  C. J. (Josh) and Doris Thompson, and Sinclair and Lessie Chambers; uncles:  Jim and Dean Chambers; cousins:  Greg and Jody Chambers; and very special friend and brother-in-law:  Phillip Johnson; and special friend:  Kenrick Jeffers.

In addition to his parents, Ashley is survived by his wife of 13 years:  Monica Terry; children:  Ashlyn Thompson and Connor Thompson and wife Tara, son of Leesa Thompson; step-son:  Jacob Phillips and fiancée Jessica Edwards, and granddaughters:  Jayla and Jaci Phillips; twin brother:  Adrian Thompson and wife Melody; and nephew and niece Xander and Ella Thompson; in-laws:  Tim Tilley and wife Paula, and Jerry Terry and wife Chris; uncles and aunts:  Jack and Sharon Lay, Tammy and John Wright, Cookie Allen, Steve and Debbie Thompson, Martha Chambers, Butch and Della Chambers, Mike and Peggy Norris, and Edie Chambers; brother-in-law:  John Terry and wife Brooke and children:   Ashton, Johnathan, Jerica and Jaxon; sisters-in-law:  Stacy Norwood and husband Chris and sons:  Tucker and Trevor, Kenya Johnson and late husband Phillip and children:  Savannah, Gracie and Luke, Rebecca Pendergrass and husband Stephen and children:  Amy, Josie, James and Kaley;  special family:  William and Gaynell Ferguson; special friend:  Brian Hibbard; and many other family members and friends. 

Friends may visit with the Thompson family on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 8:00 p.m.in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Kazee officiating.

Committal service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 12:00 Noon in the Cooper Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be:  Jeremy Thompson, Pappy-Tim Tilley, Jake Phillips, J. D. Kidd, Brett Chambers and John Terry.
