Billy D. Sexton Obituary

Billy D. Sexton, age 73 of Harriman, TN, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020 at Roane Medical Center in Harriman, TN. Born in Scott County, TN on April 6, 1947, he was the son of the late John Riley and Hattie Sexton. Billy loved working on lawn mowers and weedeaters and was a very loving husband, daddy, brother, and grandpa. His family was very special to him, he thought of them every day.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, John Riley, Jr., L.C., Loyd, Floyd, Philmore, J.D., Eddie, Artie, Hazel, Elsie, Dallas, Shirley and infant sisters, Mary and Betty.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Jeanie Sexton Adcock (Ray); lifetime companion, Ruth Pemberton Sexton; other daughters, Odetta, Cynthia and Terri; granddaughter, Hannah and grandson, Tyler and their father, Jeff West; sister, Judy Sexton Simpkins of Indiana; 8 other grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 50+ nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Sexton family on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the Todd-Sexton Cemetery on Wolfe Creek in Robbins with Bro. Charlie Golden, Sr. officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
