Billy Gene Mabe

Billy Gene Mabe, age 79 of Melvindale, MI, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021.  Born May 5, 1942 in Huntsville, Scott County, TN, he was the son of the late John and Ethel Mabe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law:  Melton and Gladys Thomas; brother:  Robert and wife Norma Mabe; sisters:  Vedra Gee and husband, Pina June Pemberton and husband, Nora Thomas and husband, three infant sisters; and brother-in-law:  George (Bud) Massey.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 58 years:  Benita Fay (Thomas) Mabe; two sons:  Billy Dewayne Mabe of Lincoln Park, MI, and Brian Keith Mabe of LaSalle, MI; two grandchildren:  Brian Dewayne Mabe and wife Hollyanne of Trenton, MI, and Alyssa Paige Mabe and fiancé Sean Czikora of Monroe, MI; great granddaughter Ella Mae Czikora of Monroe, MI; sister:  Verna Rose Massey; special friend:  Miller (Buddy) McDonald; several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Mabe family on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating.  Music will be provided by the Carlie Duncan Singers.

Committal service will follow in the Black Creek Cross Roads Cemetery in Robbins, TN.
