David Graves Billingsley

David Graves Billingsley, age 79, of Goodlettsville, TN, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Hendersonville Hospital.  Born in Gainsboro, David was the fourth of six children born to the late Leo and Maggie Coomer Billingsley.  

David retired from the corporate workplace as a service writer.  He was dedicated to serving customers of the former JCPenney Tire Center, and later, Firestone.  After keeping people on the road with tires, he began his lawn mowing business, all the while serving as an Elder at the Madison Church of Christ.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law:  Eldon Witcher, Sr. and Ethel Witcher; and brother-in-law:  Jessie Hale.

David married Janie Sue Witcher in Gainesboro on February 10, 1964.  They raised their family in Hendersonville.  In addition to his loving wife, Janie, he is survived by two sons:  Darrin Billingsley, and Jason Billingsley (daughter-in-law:  Tonya Lewis Billingsley; grandsons:  Trent, Carter and Spencer Billingsley); and brother-in-law:  Eldon Witcher, Jr.  Also, David is survived by sisters:  Nell (Billy) Johnson, Ruth Hale, Mai (Herb) Smith, and Patricia Spivey; and brother:  Don (Sylvia) Billingsley.
