E. Louise (Posey) Dunlap Reed

E. Louise Posey Dunlap Reed, age 91 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022, from a lingering illness.  Born March 22, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Margaret Posey.  Louise retired after 40 years of service as one of the vice-presidents with First National Bank.  She was currently employed with Plateau Drugs as bookkeeper for 50 years.  She was a member of the Helenwood Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she joined her husband of 64 years, Boyd (Buzz) Reed, and her first husband, Billy James (Jim) Dunlap, father of Bill R. Dunlap; son:  K. David Reed; brothers:  Odie (Ann) Posey, Homer Posey, Harris Posey, Harold Posey; and sisters:  Christine (Onis) Woods, and Joyce (Voyd) Keck.

Louise will be greatly missed by her son and daughter-in-law:  Bill and Susan Dunlap; daughter-in-law:  Pamela Stephens Reed; grandsons:  Shane (Sara) Reed, Brent (Christy) Dunlap, Blake (Sarah) Dunlap; granddaughters:  Liana (Sean) Spradlin, and Samantha (Michael) Cresap; blessed to have 15 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law:  Ruth and Opal Posey, Evelyn Chambers, Sue Reed, Jean Reagan, Joyce Cecil, Gloria Bridges, and Frances Robbins; brother-in-law:  Edgar Reed; a host of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

My mother was a matriarch for a loving family and friends.  She will be greatly missed.

Friends may visit with the Reed family on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Ledford officiating.  Music will be provided by: Arnold Stephens and Brenda West.

Committal service will follow in the Daniel Memorial Cemetery.
