Elizabeth “Libby” Blevins West, age 62 of Helenwood, TN departed this life on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN with her family by her side. Born in Scott County, TN on June 10, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Beulah Smith Blevins. Libby enjoyed spending time with her family. She devoted her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Libby was a Christian and had a kind and giving heart. She saw no stranger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Donald West, Sr.; mother-in-law, Wanda Reed West; sister-in-law, Angie Sexton; brother-in-law, Eddie Nutt; special niece, Mary Sexton; and special friend, Celia Jo Thomas.
Libby is survived by her husband of 46 years, Donald (Donnie) West, Jr; one son, Stephen West and wife Patricia; two daughters, April Lewallen and husband Shane and Elizabeth Dawn Jones and husband Ben; one grandson, Elijah West; four granddaughters, Leah West, Brooklyn Jones, Maci Jones and Katelyn Lewallen; three sisters, Wanda Sue Nutt, Diana Geier and husband David and Carol Jeffers; brothers-in-law, Jeff West and wife Lori and Donald Sexton; sister-in-law, Donetta Mitchell and husband Chris; special nieces, Cammy Marlow and Shantail Crowley; special nephew, Chris Bauswell; special friend, Dru Noble; and many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the West family on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 6 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. at the White Rock Baptist Church with Bro. Jim West and Bro. Wayne Sexton officiating. Music will be provided by Patricia, Elijah, and Leah West.
Graveside service will be on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery in Oneida. Pallbearers will be: Shane Lewallen, Ben Jones, Ernie Marlow, Chris Bauswell, Jason Sexton, Elijah West and Jeff West.
