Gladys Potter

Gladys Potter, age 80 of Robbins, TN passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at her home. Born in Oneida, TN on March 21, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Lola and Jeff Garrett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Leland Byrd and Gary Potter; son, Earl Byrd; grandson, Andrew Byrd; four brothers, James, Harvey, Freemon, and Robert Garrett; one sister, Elva Young.

Gladys is survived by four kids, Darlene and Bob Turner, Reta Huckeby and boyfriend Wendell Smithers, Jeffrey Byrd, Terry Byrd and girlfriend Samantha Daugherty; brothers, Raymond Garrett, Freddy Garrett, Steve (Charlotte) Garrett, Caldwell Garrett, one sister, Ruth Potter; 11 grandkids, Dean Byrd, Sammy Huckeby, Jordan Byrd, Leroy Byrd, Anna Byrd, Leanna Byrd, Alex Thornberry, Stephen Thornberry, Christen Ellis, Gina Kelly, and Brian Turner; 20 great grandkids; one great-great grandson; lots of nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Potter family on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.

After the service, Mrs. Potter’s request was cremation.
