Glennis B. (Phillips) Chambers age 95 of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Parkwest Medical Center. She was a devoted Christian and member of Blount Baptist Church.
She retired from Watson Distribution Center. She was a devoted loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Preceded in death by husband of 73 years, Tyrus Chambers; parents, Frank and Cletis Phillips; brother, Glendle Phillips; grandson, Matthew Chambers.
Survivors include children, Byron (Becky) Chambers, Steve (Jewell) Chambers, Donna Kaye (Keller) Wallace; grandchildren, Scott, B.J. and Lexann; several great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Hughett; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Atria Weston Place and Heritage Assisted living, as well as the staff at Parkwest Medical Center.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home Ft. City with a chapel service beginning at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Byron Chambers officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Ft. Sumter Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
