Harold Bruce Blevins

Harold Bruce Blevins, age 86 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN.  Born in Scott County, Tennessee on January 24, 1933, he was the son of the late Arnold Blevins and Opal Kidd Blevins Neely.   Harold was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife:  Joy Lee Terry Blevins; infant son:  Joseph Blevins; step-father:  John B. Neely; sisters:  Ilah Blevins Lloyd and Phylis Blevins Shoopman.

Bruce is survived by his fiancé:  Winnie Ruth Justice; son:  Rockie Helton and wife Barbara of Oneida, TN; brother:  Dwight Blevins and wife Cindy of Grand Junction, CO; sister:  Doris Blevins Neely and husband Fred of Dalton, GA; two step-brothers:  Tony and Joe Neely; one step-sister:  Bonnie Orick;  grandchildren:  special granddaughter and caregiver:  LaBreeska Helton Slaven, Treye Helton, Jasmine Helton, Brayden Helton, Caleb Helton and Breanna Helton; 13 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Blevins family on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Bradley Kidd and Bro. Ashley Cooper officiating.  Music will be provided by:  Doris Potter.

Committal service will follow in the Black Oak Cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Post #136 of Oneida.
