Helen Annette Strunk Obituary

Helen Annette Dalton Strunk, age 60 of Centerpoint, IN, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020, at Union Hospital in Terra Haute, IN.  Born July 4, 1959 in Chattanooga, TN, she was the daughter of the late James and Luschion Duncan Dalton.

Helen had a servant’s heart.  Her BEE HIVE PALACE, as it was called, is where any time there was a need, she would organize the group.  She was an avid quilter and founded a quilting group S.M.M.Q. (SO MUCH MORE THAN QUILTING) because they did just that.  She organized the making of the masks which were needed for nurses and hospitals during the Covid-19 Pandemic.  She was also an avid canner, canning the harvest of her husband’s garden.

Helen is survived by her husband:  Jimmy Ray Strunk; step-children:  Derek Strunk and wife Angie, and April West and husband Henry; brother:  Phil Dalton and wife Charlene; nephew:  Randy Dalton and wife Trish; great nephew:  Dalan Dalton; great niece:  Bralyn Dalton; father-in-law:  Earnest Strunk; special sister-in-law:  Patty S. McGowen; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Strunk family on Saturday, June 6, 2020, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.  Committal service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Owens-Phillips Cemetery in the Buffalo Community of Oneida, TN with Bro. Chris Sewell officiating.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
