Jerry Reece Peavyhouse, age 77, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was born on December 15, 1942 in Zenith, Tennessee. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Huntsville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, A.G. and Vera Baldwin; father Willie Doyle Peavyhouse; mother Edna Baldwin Peavyhouse; brothers-in-law Kyle Wallace, Austin Phillips and John McQuire; sisters-in-law Phyllis Rector Marlow and Karen Hughett.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Kay Hughett Peavyhouse; daughters: Andrea Peavyhouse West, Reecia Peavyhouse Lovett and husband James, Derita Peavyhouse Phillips and husband Scott; grandchildren: Tyler Owens and wife Makenzie, James Owens, Sydney Lovett, Bailey Lovett, Cody Gray, Austen Lowe, Nash Lowe, Chris, Lucas, Kendra, Lauryn, Devin, Kailey, Bobbi, Andy, Preston and Cierra Phillips; great-grandchildren: Kaden Owens, Kyndyl Gray and Nova Reece Lowe; sister Billie Jean Peavyhouse Wallace; brothers-in-law: Murrell Hughett and Rodney Marlow; sisters-in-law: Loretta Hughett McGuire, Lorene Hughett Rollins and husband Ken and Deneice Hughett Daniels; nieces and nephews: Mark Wallace, Mike Wallace and Tammy, Gaya Phillips-Wolfenbarger and Ossie, Tony Phillips and Debbie, Sonja Phillips Rogers and Andy, Denise Snow and Dan, Rhonda Marlow Davis and Barry and Ernie Marlow and Cammy; many very special cousins and other family and friends.
Friends may visit with the Peavyhouse family on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Terry officiating. The obituary will be read by Derita Phillips and the eulogy provided by James Lovett. Music will be sung by Dallas West.
Committal service will follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens in the Fairview Community.
Pallbearers will be: Cody Gray, Tyler Owens, James Owens, Sydney Lovett, Austen Lowe, Bailey Lovett and Nash Lowe.
