Karen Jones Obituary

Karen Jones, age 54 of Robbins, TN, departed this world on Monday, December 19, 2022, after a battle with cancer. Karen was a very loving and generous woman who lived her entire life in the Black Creek community where she was much loved by her family and friends. She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt who loved being with and doing for her family and friends. She was born on June 20, 1968, to the late Kenneth Ray Jones and Flonnie Lawson Jones. She was a life-long member of Black Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Alfred Jones and Cleta West Jones; maternal grandparents, Johnny Lawson and Mae Smithers Lawson; brother, Clifford Jones and wife Barbara Jones; brother, Ronald Jones; and her twin sister, Sharon Jones.

Karen is survived by her mother, Flonnie Lawson Jones; brother, Donald Jones and wife Polly; sister, Sandy Jones Thompson and husband Wendell; sister-in-law, Cindy Jones; nieces, Jenny Jones Gibson and husband Bub, Becky Jones Terry and husband Justin, Amanda Jones McBride and husband Michael, Tiffany Thompson Cordell (Karen’s special niece and shopping partner) and husband Dustin, Carla Jones Duncan and husband Jason; nephews, Tony Ray Jones and wife Miranda and Kenneth Blake Jones; special cousin, Vince Jones; special friend, Tom Walker; and special work family at Takahata. Karen also leaves behind many great nieces, great nephews, and great friends. Special thanks to her nurse Megan Shephard.

Friends may visit with the Jones family on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.

Committal service will follow in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery in Robbins with Bro. Troy Burchfield officiating. Pallbearers will be: Tony Jones, Jason Duncan, Dustin Cordell, Logan Cordell, Blake Jones, Bub Gibson, and Colton Cordell.
