Kelsie Odis Abbott, age 80 of Dalton, GA, formerly of the Buffalo community, passed away at his home with his daughter at his side on Monday, November 29, 2021. He was born in Scott County, TN on March 18, 1941. He was a member of Smith Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Lakelee Gibson and dad, Jonah Honeycutt; 4 sisters, Rosalee, Josephine, Phyllis Ann, and Lue Jene; 2 brothers, Willis and Bill; 1 daughter, Sheryl Ann; 2 grandsons, Adam and Derek; 1 son-in-law, Gleason Smithers.
Odis is survived by his wife, Laura Abbott; 2 sisters, Sharron and Olamay; 3 brothers, Benny, John and Jerry; 4 children, Reeda and husband T.C. Henry of Calhoun, GA, Nancy of Robbins, TN, Faye and husband Kenny Garrett of Oneida, TN, Charles and girlfriend Susie of Huntsville, TN, and son, Junior of Calhoun, GA; grandkids, Mitchell, Michael, Mark, Jason, Brian, Travis, Jonathan, Rashae, Ashley, and Heather; great grandkids, Tiffany, Amara, Bella, Colton, Maleah, Kennslee; and many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Abbott family on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Francis King officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery in Robbins. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Masks are required.
