Michael Lee Lovett Obituary

Michael Lee Lovett, age 64 of Oneida, TN passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at his home with all of his loving family surrounding him with love, prayers, and song. Mike was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 28, 1956. He was the son of the late Harold Cecil Lovett and Devorah Phillips Lovett.

Mike was a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corp and he also served in the Vietnam War where he was a sniper. He was honorably discharged in March of 1978.

Mike enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with his girls and grandkids. They all loved hunting, fishing, four-wheeler riding and shooting guns. He was an amazing father figure to his oldest grandsons and granddaughter.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Everett and Zama Lovett and Ulysses and Margaret Phillips; his best friend and brother, David Lovett; brother-in-law, Tony Jeffers; and his life-long friend, Bob Schuster.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Stephanie King Lovett; daughters, Veronica Hughett and husband Wesley of Robbins, TN, Cynthia Crabtree and husband Nathan of Helenwood, TN; sister, Deborah Lovett Jeffers of Oneida, TN; sister-in-law, Pamela Lovett, also of Oneida; grandsons, Austin and Megan Reynolds, Alex and Brenlee Reynolds, Caleb Reynolds, Rylin Reynolds, Skyler Thomas, Toby Crabtree and Noah Crabtree; granddaughters, Makayla Shay Reynolds and Emma Rose Crabtree; great grandsons, Rowdy Chase Reynolds and Logan and Kasen; special life-long friend, Darrel Honeycutt; several very special nieces, nephews and many other special relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Lovett family on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny King and Bro. Tim King officiating. Music will be provided by the family.

Committal service will follow in the Hazel Valley Cemetery in Oneida with full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and sons-in-law. 

With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. Masks are required.
