Ricky Chad Duncan Obituary

Ricky Chad Duncan age 43 of Oneida Tennessee departed this life suddenly February 1, 2023, to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in eternal peace and rest. Born June 10, 1979, he was the only son of the late Ricky Charles Duncan and Clara Moffett Watters.

Chad was saved April 24, 1988, at the age of 8 years old at West Oneida Baptist Church and was one of the thirteen charter members of the Macedonia Christian Center until his death. Chad was an amazing percussionist where he played in the Scott High School Band. He continued using his talent for the Lord by playing drums at his church as well as with several music groups throughout his life. He began singing at the age of three years old with his sister Christel and cousin, more like a brother, Randall Duncan. They would have their own church services in the front yard with singing and preaching just like the grownups. Later they would take their place traveling and singing from church to church across the county with the Duncan Family.

After the establishment of Macedonia Christian Center, Chad and Randall carried on singing and preaching for the Lord until his time of death.

His most prized accomplishment was his four children, Maddie, Nate, Cole and Shay whom he loved with all of his heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ricky Charles Duncan, his wife Samantha Norwood the mother of his two children, his paternal grandparents Rev. Charlie Duncan and Erie Duncan Terry, maternal grandparents Jasper Moffett and Ruby York Moffett.

Chad is survived by his mother Clara Watters, wife Brittany Harness Duncan, four children, Maddie Lakota Duncan, Nathanial Jasper Duncan, Colton Isaiah Duncan and his mother Stacy Jones, Amanda LaShay Foster, whom he loved and raised as his own, 2 step children Carmen Ellis and Navaeh Ellis father in law Eddie Harness (girlfriend Amy Hall) mother in law Ruby Lowe brother in law Vince Harness sister in law Samantha Hubbard (William) Sister Christel Duncan Boyatt (Steve) Special cousin but more of a brother Randall Lynn Duncan (Jessica) niece Chelbie Dru Burke (Colby) nephew Jabe Patrick Boyatt niece Chesnie Rane Boyatt niece Cheyanne LaFay Duncan nephews Ashton Randall Duncan, Stormy Raine and Joe-C Arthur Harness.
