Russell Lenord Crabtree Obituary

Russell Lenord Crabtree, Sr., age 83 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. Born on March 6, 1937, he was the son of the late Sarah Dexter and Lenville Crabtree.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Norman and Hoyle Crabtree and James Claborn; sisters: Omajean Pierce, Phyllis Trosper and Anna Ruth Carson.

Russell is survived by his wife Janet Crabtree; daughters: Shandi King and Michelle Laxton and fiancé Kenny Mullins; sons: Russell Crabtree Jr. and wife Kristie, Peyton Schrock and wife Gabrielle; brothers: Danny Claborn and wife Stacey and Lloyd Claborn and wife Jacklyn; grandchildren: Teddy King and fiancé Tina King, Kristi Stanley and husband Jason, Matt King and fiancé Ronda Carroll, Heather Hughett and boyfriend Miles Baird, Jordan King and fiancé Sloane Pemberton, Adam King and girlfriend Marie Bingham, Rashell Crabtree and boyfriend Brandon Meece and Arya Schrock; great grandchildren: Kyrah King, Alicyn King, Rieley King, Brycen King, Farrah Ellis, Brady King, River King, Dayson King, Makynlee Stanley and Walker King; sisters-n-laws: Ramona Crabtree and Faye Claborn; special nephews: Keith Crabtree and Dudley Crabtree; special friends: Curt Terry, Clarence Trosper, Gary Burchfield, Jake Autry and Harold Autry; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Russell professed his salvation and was baptized years ago and became a member of Pine Creek Baptist Church at that time. Russell had professed his desire to go on and be with his Lord and Savior.

The family will be holding a small church service in honor of Russell on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Oneida Church of God, 1100 Paint Rock Road, Oneida, Tennessee with Rev. Chuck Jeffers officiating.

His request was to be cremated.
