Terry Lee 'Rooster' Massengale

Terry Lee ‘Rooster’ Massengale, age 73 of Huntsville, TN, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at the Big South Fork Medical Center.  Born June 25, 1949, he was the son of the late Clifton and Cordelia Lowe Massengale.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law:  Dewey and Junie Stephens; brothers and sisters-in-law:  Theodore and Syble Stephens, J. C. and Brenda Stephens, Thelma and Hulon Jones, Bonnie and Larry Terry, and Alene Mullins.

Terry is survived by his wife of 50 years:  Jerri Lena Stephens Massengale; son:  Terry Lee ‘Buddy’ Massengale, Jr. and wife Cindy; daughter:  Pat Massengale Yancey and husband Wesley; grandchildren, whom he loved very much:  Shellie Queener, Shelby Yancey, Makayla Yancey, Steven Palmer, Kristi Palmer, and one special little girl he loved as a grandchild:  Joslin Floyd; brother:  Keith Massengale and wife Darlene; sister:  Kathy Lay and husband T.L., and a host of other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Massengale family on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating.  Music will be provided by Jamie and Toni Byrd.

Committal service will follow in the Carson Memorial Park with full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida.  Pallbearers will be Austin Lowe, Stephen Palmer, John Cooper, Anthony Lay and J. C. Massengale.
