Thelma Jo Stephens Jones, age 80 of Oneida, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Scott County, TN on January 20, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Junie Stephens. Thelma was a member of the High Point Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband: Hulon Jones; son: David Jones; brothers: J. C. Stephens, Theodore Stephens, and 5 infant brothers; and twin great-grandsons: Zayden and Brayden Harness.
Thelma is survived by her son: Benny Jones and wife Judy; daughter: Lisa Jones of Oneida; brother: Ronnie Stephens and wife Paula of Oneida; sisters: Christine Cheatham and companion Raymond Roysdon of Oneida, Nella Honeycutt and husband Avery of Oneida, Alene Mullins of Oneida, Jerri Massengale and husband Terry of Huntsville, Jean Bowling and husband Joe of Oneida, Bonnie Terry and late husband Larry, and Hazel Stephens of Oneida; grandson: Ben Jones and wife Dawn; granddaughters: Jeretta Jones and fiancé Chris Wisner, Lesha Seeber and husband Anthony, Ashley Overton and husband Justin, Jennifer Jones and fiancé Josh Newport, Kaelyn Jones, all of Oneida, TN; great grandchildren: Desiree Jones, Shelby Perry, Tristen Seeber, Parker Seeber, Mallory Seeber, Olivia Newport, Blake Newport, Brooklyn Jones, Maci Jones, Kaden Harness, Brady Harness, and Beckett Overton; as well as many other family members and friends.
Friends may visit with the Jones family on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Dudley Harness, Bro. Carlie Duncan, and Bro. Keith Marcum officiating. Music will be presented by: Lloyd Stephens, Arnold Stephens and Patricia West.
Committal service will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Ben Jones, Anthony Seeber, Parker Seeber, Josh Newport, Justin Overton, and Chris Wisner.
