Theresa McCoy

Theresa McCoy, age 53 of Oneida, TN passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. She was born in Logan, West Virginia on September 6, 1967.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Laura J. Ellis; mother, Vergie R. McCoy; and son, Joshua P. Wright.

Theresa is survived by her daughter, Felecia Bunn; brother, Bobby McCoy and wife Essie; dad, Robert “Bob” McCoy and wife Jane; grandchildren, Aaliyah and Aiden George; Theresa’s honorary son, Justin Gibson; special niece, Shasta McCoy; special great nephews, Anthony and Kahlan Hutson; special friends, the crew from DJ’s Pit Stop; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the McCoy family on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Chambers and Bro. Pete Babb officiating. Music will be provided by Jamie and Toni Byrd.

Committal service will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Ellis Family Cemetery in the Buffalo community. Pallbearers will be: Cody Bond, Junior Lawson, Ken Harness, Michael Smith, Dwayne Stephens, and Junior Harness. Honorary pallbearers will be: Kay Crowley, Bobbie Joe Bond, Tammy Ellis, Becky Brooks, Justin Gibson, Michael Ray Jeffers, DJ Jeffers, David “Blue” Day, and RC Hatfield.

With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. Masks are required.
