Dear Duncan Family:

I am Marian, Kirk Deweese's wife. I met Christine, Rueben, and other family members through the years when we attended the Memorial weekend family reunion. Violet talked about Christine often and thought the world of her - and Uncle Rueben that was more like her brother. I am so sad for your loss. I suspect the Violet and Christine are basking in the love and glory of Jesus right now. Christine - Mom, Grandmother, Aunt, Friend, Sister was a wonderful woman and, as the Bible says, full of years. Blessings to you, Kirk and Marian

I don’t know what causes me to search for Rueben and Christine Duncan other than I I have been thinking about them. You brought up Memorial Day- Decoration Day as I always heard it- I went with my Uncle Hurstle and Aunt Dottie every year and we split our time between Rueben and Christine and Willard and Helen. Most every year uncle Hurstle’s sisterPearl rode down with us to stay at her daughter Violet’s home and they would bring her back home after they visited a long while. I have been forever wondering how all of the wonderful people I enjoyed growing up knowing we’re doing. I am sure that Christine, Rueben, Willard, Hurstle, Dottie, Pearl, Iris, and sweet Marie along with many many more family members are preparing a Decoration Day reunion for when we join them in Heaven.
