Troy L. Cannon, age 74 of Helenwood, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.  Born in Greenback, TN on September 25, 1943, he was the son of the late Bruce and Josephine Cannon.  Troy was a member of the Tunnel Hill Baptist Church; and a Veteran of the United States Navy. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law:  Shirley Cannon; and father-in-law:  Earl Cantrell. 

Troy is survived by his wife of 35 years:  Patsy Cannon; son:  Richard Cannon and wife Bridget; grandchildren:  Kim and Chris of Knoxville, TN; brother:  Bob Cannon of Chattanooga, TN; sister:  Brenda Linginfelter and husband Don of Friendsville; mother-in-law:  Ruth Cantrell of Helenwood; nieces:  Robbin Massengale and husband David, Valerie Neely and husband Jeff of Chattanooga; nephew:  Shannon Linginfelter and wife Lori of Friendsville; special nephew:  Brian Cannon and wife Tina of Chattanooga; special friends:  Steve Lawson, Deb Griffith and James Chambers; and many other family members and friends. 

Friends may visit with the Cannon family on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Lowe officiating. 

Graveside service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Reed Cemetery with full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida.  Pallbearers will be:  Tim Claborn, Steve Lawson, Kenny Morrow, James Chambers, Randy Chambers and Chris Perdue.
