Charles Dean Sexton

Mr. Charles Dean Sexton, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018.  Born December 1, 1939, he was the son of the late Chester Charles and Oma Bell Acres Sexton.  He was a Veteran of the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law:  Leonard and Ida Bell Reed; siblings:  Albert Sexton, Lilly Jean Thrasher, Carolyn Sue Griffith; and nephew:  Aaron Wade Sexton.

Mr. Sexton is survived by his wife:  Velma Jean Reed Sexton; daughter:  Tracie Faith Smith; sons:  Charles Eric Sexton and wife Mariah, and Kevin Jerome Sexton; grandchildren:  Ariana, Hailee, Mallory, Grant, Liam and Lainie; siblings:  Lewis Sexton and wife Judy, Linford Sexton and wife Sharon, Milford Sexton, Sheila Byrd and husband Gary, Sandra Faye Crabtree and husband Michael; special friend and fellow guitarist:  Kermit Carson; as well as many special nieces and nephews that loved him dearly and friends.

Friends may visit with the Sexton family on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Orick and Bro. Randall Morris officiating.  Music will be provided by the Paul Chitwood Singers.

Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery in the Pine Hill Community with full Military Honors conducted by the local American Legion Post #136 of Oneida, TN.  Pallbearers will be:  Daniel Terry, Caleb Terry, Dale Hull, Avery Sexton, Matthew Williams and Michael Crabtree

Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Kermit Carson and Charlie Griffith.
