Jack Lee Cordell

Jackie “Jack” Lee Cordell, age 69 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at his home.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

Jack was born on November 7, 1948 in Oneida, Tennessee to the late Aubrey and Rennie Musgrove Cordell.  On January 5, 1990, he married his lovely wife Anita “Kaye” Cordell in Kentucky.  Jack loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, working outside in the yard with his wife and sharing the word of God.  He loved rooting for the Kentucky Wildcats and singing hymnals on the front porch.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Tony Cordell; brother Aubrey Cordell, Jr.

Jack is survived by his awe-inspiring Anita “Kaye” Cordell of 28 years; son Timothy Cordell, daughter Sandra Joseph and son-in-law Michael, son Mickey Cordell, daughter Heather Armes and son-in-law Joshua, daughter Brooke Stephens and son-in-law Blake, Jakayla Garrett and son-in-law Zach; ten grandchildren: Angel, Cherish, Matthew, Krislyn, Roston, Kaleb, Jacob, Isabella, Gabriella and Renlee; great grandchildren Alexis, Savannah and Bennett; brother Louie Cordell; sister Janice Privett, brother David Cordell and wife Lena; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Cordell family on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Smith and Bro. Don Wynn officiating.  Music will be provided by Chris Neal and family.

Interment will follow in the Silerville Cemetery in Strunk, Kentucky.  Serving as pallbearers will be: Bob Bishop, Josh Bishop, Kaleb Armes, Matthew Sargent, Zach Garrett and Dustin Cordell.
