Jewell DeBord Robbins West Obituary

Mrs. Jewell DeBord Robbins West, age 93 of Robbins, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the Huntsville Manor Nursing Home. Born April 6, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Abigia Keith and Georgia Ann Shannon DeBord. Jewell was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church in Robbins, TN.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Claude Robbins and Claude West; siblings: Jim, LeRoy, Bill, Pat, Paul, Mike and Kenneth DeBord, Bernice West and June Jones.

She is survived by her son: Joe Robbins and wife Marva; grandchildren: Amber Baird and husband David, and Joel Robbins; great grandchildren: Madison and Shannon Baird; siblings: Robert Lee DeBord and wife Hazel of Robbins, TN, Dan DeBord and wife Peggy of Ypsilanti, MI, Faye Brooks of Glenmary, TN, Betty Ellison of Jacksboro, TN, Carolyn DeBord of Huntsville, TN, and Jill Walker and husband Joe of Robbins, TN; sisters-in-law: Barbara DeBord, Gail DeBord, Bernice DeBord; special niece: Ellen Westin and husband Tor; as well as a host of other nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the West family on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Guy Ainsworth and Bro. Joe Walker officiating. Music will be provided by: Brent and Brenda Shoemaker.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Robbins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: John Tate, Bill Ellis, Lamance Bryant, Curtis Bruce, Bob Thompson and David Baird. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Doug Lloyd, Jim McCarroll, Randy Shelton and Jackie Day.
