Nikkia Rae Terry

Nikkia Rae “Nikki” Terry, age 32, of Knoxville, Tennessee formerly of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.  Nikki was born April 10, 1987, and was the daughter of Danny Ray “DT” Terry and the late Robin (White) Williams of Oneida. 

In addition to her mother, she is also preceded in death by her uncle Junior Terry and special friend George Livingston.

She is survived by her beautiful daughters Abrielle Grace, NiRaea Elizabeth, and Dannyce Caroline. Other survivors include sister Elizabeth (Terry) King; brothers Travis Terry of Oneida, Josh “Chuck” Orick of Chattanooga, Jordan Orick of Michigan, and Eddie Tucker of Kentucky; grandmother Gertrude Terry of Oneida; special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Nikki loved her girls—they brought her so much joy! Equally loved was the special man in her life—her Dad. For her, he hung the moon; for him, she will always be his little girl.

Nikki remembered the little things in life that brought her joy and made other people smile; she never forgot a birthday, and she always ended a phone call with “I Love You” and made sure she waited until you said it back. Music made her happy, with a special blend of styles, including Tupac and Reba, and her favorite color was purple. 

Life does not always work out the way we plan, but it always works out the way God knows is best for us. 

Friends may visit with the Terry family on Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. in the chapel of West Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Orick officiating. Committal service will follow in the Marcum-Kidd Cemetery in Oneida. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Terry, Eddie Tucker, Jared Terry, Justin Terry, Cody Carson, and Brandon Douglas.
