Barbara V. (Chitwood) King, age 87 of Winfield, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2022. She was of the Baptist faith, and retired Chapter Aide for the Scott County School System. Born March 11, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Chitwood, and Edith and Wise Coomer.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Emby Andrew King; 3 sons: Richard A. King, and twins Dewight and Dewayne King; and brother: Marshall Buddy Chitwood.

Barbara is survived by her children: Timothy W. King of Winfield, TN, Arthur Scott King of Alcoa, TN, Tammy and Merrel Davis and Denise King all of Winfield; grandchildren: Ronnie D. King and wife Andrea, Michael A. King all of Winfield, TN, Kayla M. King and Jessie James of Celina, Ohio, Tonya L. Sexton and Rocky Sexton of Winfield, TN, Christina R. Grant and Danny of Oneida, TN, and Timothy S. King of Winfield, TN; great grandchildren: Dakota Wayne, Winfield, TN, Jacoby A. King of Celina, Ohio, Malachi J. King, of Oneida, TN and Jolene A. James, of Celina, OH, Aleigha R. King, and Alexis E. King, Seth, Elijah and Kingzlee Grant all of Oneida, TN , Justice R. Bertram, Bristol D. Sexton and Tavern (Tavey) Sexton all of Winfield, TN, Jazlyn S. King, of Oneida, TN; great-great grandchildren: Jasper Bertram and Theodore Bertram of Winfield, TN; sister: Sandra Kincer of Hazard, KY; nephew: Jeff McIntyre and wife Valerie, of Hazard, KY; great nephew: Chandler McIntyre and companion Kyra Dryers, of Hazard, KY; great-great niece: Lennon S. McIntyre; sister-n-law, Donna Branscum of Stearns, KY; special friends, Rhonda Crabtree of Winfield, TN and Ken Jordan of Oneida, Tn. She also leaves other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the King family on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Benji Johnson officiating. Music will be provided by: Ashley Webb and Denise King.

Committal service will follow in the Chitwood Cemetery in Winfield, TN. Pallbearers will be: Ronnie King, Michael King, Seth Grant, Elijah Grant, Jeff McIntyre, Johnathan Burke, and Kayla M. King.
