Gregory Paul ‘Greg’ Babb, age 52, of Winfield TN, husband to Misty Duncan Babb, went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Born November 15, 1971, in Scott County, TN, he was the son of Kenneth and Charity Hill Babb.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ben and Wilda Hill, and Bill and Essie Babb; uncles: Bill Hill, Leroy Brewer, Robert Watson; aunts: Orangie and husband Bill Winchester, Betty and husband Earl Walker of Ohio and by Letha Slaven.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife: Misty Duncan Babb; daughters: Macy and Carli; sister: Kendra and husband Tony Whittenburg; nieces and nephews: Devon, Bryson and Briley Creekmore, Kenlee and Gage Duncan, Mari and husband Aaron Potter, and Sarah and husband Hunter Henry; great nieces and nephews: Rydlee, Wesson, Barrett, and Whitlee Potter, and Avery and River Henry. Each one of these kids made his darkest days brighter. He is also survived by aunts: Betty Brewer, Marilyn and husband Richard Foster, Barbara and husband Richard Reynolds, Louise and husband Danny Bowling; uncles: Jay Hill and wife Ann, Leland and wife Ethel Babb; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Babb family on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Black Oak Baptist Church with Bro. Kyle Keeton and Bro. Crestin Jeremy Burke officiating. Music will be provided by the Chitwood Family and Brianna Upchurch.

Committal service will follow in the Thomas Cemetery in Oneida, TN. Pallbearers will be: Bruce Hollan, Jason Sims, Devon Creekmore, Eddie Duncan, Joe Hill, Bryson Creekmore, Hunter Henry, Danny Perry and Aaron Potter.

In Lieu-of-Flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
