Kathleen Harness Obituary

Kathleen Byrd Harness, age 75, of the Annadell Community in Pioneer, TN, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville, TN. Born June 13, 1948, in Oneida, TN, she was the daughter of the late Obis Sam and Edith Keeton Byrd.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Lucille Anderson; and nephew: Steve Anderson.

Kathleen is survived by her husband: Bruce Harness; children: Jessica Crabtree and husband Jeremy, and Samuel Harness and wife Susanna; grandchildren: Ethan and Brady Crabtree, Zaine and Julia Harness; sisters: Christine Posey and husband Luster, and Evelyn Foster; brother: Donald Byrd and wife Allessia; and many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Harness family on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Sexton officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Zaine Harness, Ethan Crabtree, Jason Strunk, Eddie Strunk, Colby Brown, and Brice Harness. Honorary Pallbearer will be: Brady Crabtree.
